Boardman AiR TT 9.8 Unveiling

This is belated birthday gift and an super early Christmas gift I got myself. Thanks to Hee Hong Cycle, I was able to own a spanking new 2014 Boardman AiR TT 9.8 frame that is rated at 1.25kg (with fork and integrated brakes)!

The decision to get the bike were driven by the need to ride a correctly sized and fitted bike. While it was a perfect excuse to upgrade, I know it will not be a cheap affair.

To keep the cost down, I've spent the money on just the frame, choosing to transfer all my other items from the Orbea Ordu over to this new frame. I had an issue with the bottom bracket, as it will meant I need to get an adapter that convert the 23mm bb to 30mm bb. Not an issue, as H2C boss, Ah Siang (as he is known to many of us that frequent the bike shop, his surname is Koh, given name is Chun Siang) tell me. He happily parted way with his FSA standard crank, with 30mm pressfit BB to be installed. I can't be happier! Without further ado, this is how the full bike look like.
As fast, maybe faster?
First Feel (Trainer)
I have clocked no less than 400km since November 29, 2014. The bike has been fully tested on the trainer and has been very responsive and noticable stiff as the trainer allow me to pedal a little harder (and more reckless) without fear of traffic or road hazards. If the reflexes and stiffness holds true on the real road feel, I reckon this will be a very responsive fast machine. I missed the chance to bring this out for a 150km ride to Melaka on December 20, 2014. It will however be put through the pace in a Broga ride soon.
