Borneo International Marathon 2012 Race Report

Back to work after the run on Sunday! I believe many of you has also made this race a "fly in, run, fly out"affair. Myself and wifey flew to Kota Kinabalu via the usual budget airline. And for the perhaps, 10th time, yes, i am complaining again that they delayed my flights. Many has said that if you fly "Air Asia, expect delay". But why should we as paying passengers? the KUL-BKI (Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu) sector is by far one of the busiest with up to six flights a day. It just does not justify. No one's time is as important as the next one. Nevertheless, after a total of 2hours and 30 minutes delay with two rescheduling, we were safely in the flight.
Wifey with her tanned looked from Bali 3-weeks ago
By KL, for a night. Don't miss us.
I must thanks Doc Azman for being the kindest soul to pick me and wifey up from the KK Airport and drop us in Borneo Backpackers. We could had taken a taxi, but we could not resist the offer since we need to pick up our race kit from him as well. That is double thanks for the race kit pick up too! Thanks Doc!
The arrangement to stay in Borneo Backpackers were a suggestion from Tey. A group of the usual runners stayed at Borneo Backpackers last year during the Kinabalu Climbathon and only had good things to say about it. Since we will only be there for a night, why not? After all, we just need a clean place to rest the body before and after the race. I will write about Borneo Backpackers in my blog by next week. So, if you are a budget traveller to Kota Kinabalu and do not want to spend more than RM70 for a room with aircond, wait up for the write up.
Don't be fooled by the woman at the door. She is a maneater.
We had a quick dinner at the usual place when I am in Kota Kinabalu - the best place that serve an almost authentic mee goreng tuaran with seafood. You can't say no to this simple dish filled with vegetables, fresh large prawns, fish fillets and generous squids in homemade noodle that is fried and topped with clear egg broth. At RM7.50, it is on the high side even for KL, but standard of living in Kota Kinabalu ain't that low either. This is a "must have". The shop that serves this is non-halal though.
My untouched photo is a "pale" comparison of the actual serving. Should i make it more "delectable" using some post processing?
Add in a bit of "level correction", some "sharpening" and applying a "Velvia" filter. Mee Tuaran - Special edition
OK. The only reason for posting the above up twice was because at this point of writing, i am hungry.
Back to the race report. As we only managed to settle ourselves down at about 9pm that night, a quick preparation for the race kit must be done. With some years of racing, i know better that if anything were to be forgotten before the race, it will be the items that will be crucial for the race - and pretty much potential to make a good race to a bad race. Don't take the preparation one day before the race for granted (and that include your toilet schedule).
Stupe Must Have: Shoe, socks, running number, pouch for real food, camera (using it to take photo lah), spare camera batteries, iPhone, money, IC, cap, watch, HR strap, bottle of water/electrolytes and of course, sunglasses.
Looking at the list above, i might as well bring a stove for the race isn't it? I would if i can carry it. :P
Wifey's collection. Similiar but minus the phone and camera. She runs with a bottle pouch. :)
We lights-off at about 10pm, way too early by our standard. But imagining the kids is with us and we are putting them to sleep, i believe we soon dozed off with alarm being set at 12:50, 1:00, 1:10 and 1:20. Call it paranoia, but I have on two occasion woke up late resulting in me almost missing my flight and missed my flight. It was definitely not a sleep deep snooze but good enough for some eyes shut. I woke up at about 12am and saw that it was raining. Oh my. Will it be a wet marathon? Taxi (pre-arranged) will come pick myself and wifey up at about 1:45am (which he came at 1.30am). We missed the opportunity to sign up for the transport by the Borneo Marathon organisers and will have to pay for taxi.
Wet Sunday. Which meant, a clear sky later. Hot day expected. Run fast.
I went back to bed and woke up at about 1am, quickly gobbled down some of the prepared food made by wifey (the homemade bread and the homemade granola bars), kitted up and we were ready to go. It was still drizzling slightly and the air was dense with fresh air.
Granola and bread. Made with Love.
Likas Stadium is situated about 5km away from Borneo Backpackers and the option to walk there did cross the mind. The journey there took less than 10minutes and we reached the Stadium at 1.45am. It was almost empty except for the organisers and a few runners.
If only there was a bed. Another hour of sleep would be good.
It was empty, if not because of the flood light, i would had thought we were at the wrong location.
*cricket chirping*
Runners started trickling in at about 2.15am, and the place started to come alive with some music playing. What was disturbing from the time we reach till 2.15am was that there were no indication of any timing devices. I assured wifey that maybe they have not put it up yet. I was getting curious myself and the only timing device at the race site was the giant clock on the scoreboard.
Can't see it?
Here. No digital timing too!
Anyhow, it is not the most important thing as seasoned runner would not rely on external timing except their own watch. It is an extension to the runner and more so, it will allow for personal time tracking and progress.
The numbers of marathoners did not exceed 400 i believe. It was a small number of runners which make Borneo Marathon different from the other locally organised races. Or perhaps, the people in Kota Kinabalu has not embraced this world class run right behind their home. Maybe the entrance fee is too high too for locals? But one thing for sure, they did the right thing by limiting the prize money and true enough, the absence of foreign "mercenaries" runners from the African Continents were sorely missing. More chances for locals!
Bersih T-shirt! And as it is a coincidence that the official running vest is also..Yellow?
The race started 3 minutes before 3am. I guessed the organisers realised that whoever that wanted/registered would had been there by then. The compulsory starting photo with wifey and we were off!
"okok, so the button you press is to see my pace, distance and time, right?"asked wifey before i snapped this pic.
The run brought us from Stadium Likas towards the city centre, passing by the market and towards the airport at Tanjung Aru. Apparently, i was told by Tey that the run was reverse of last year where they ran towards UMS first, before running through Tg. Aru.
And you know you are running fast when you have Tey running close to you. Hero on hi 54th marathon, and by that i meant 42km, not the 5km or 10km variant ;-)
I believe the decision to change the run direction was more for traffic control. The organisers could had received complains from the locals last year when the run clogged up the traffic towards the airport and also stopped the daily activities on Sunday morning at the wet market. So, reversing the route could offer some respite to the traffic condition at the expense of a more scenic route, and, according to Dannie (Chong), the opportunity to drink fresh coconut water like he did last year! He brought RM50 along for that!
For now, lets jus be happy with 100plus ok? By the way, do you know that 100Plus (name) is a creation of one Mr. Mah? He is wifey's friend's dad. He say when you drink 100Plus, you will give your 100 Plus Percentile in the sports you do! Aptly so Sir!
Before i forget, let me record gratitude to the volunteers that did not sleep that morning too, preparing water station as early as 3am - i meant, if i am freshly back from clubbing, i would had stopped for some drinks to get sober while watching sweaty body run.
Reminder of the Keamatan or Hari Gawai or Harvest Festival happening end of this month. Special shout out to friends that celebrates it either for cultural or for the rice wine reasons. You know who you are!
The organisers has placed SYT (Sweet Young Things) at strategic places to cheer the runners. Their chirpiness at 3am would had made some people think that Gawai came early. Not forgetting Police volunteers on Mountain Bikes that roamed the streets for this race. That was awesome. No motorbike was used and two-wheels of the pedalling kind was used throughout the race by marshals!
Go! Go! Go! err..maám, why you running at 3am?
Because KL people boring. Come KK run more fun!
Along the way, i bumped into more familiar faces and Super-Kam was blazing the first 10km...sub 60mins for first 10 is fast!
Would had been sub 50mins if i did not stop for him to take photos.
By 5.30am or circa KM20, the sun started to rise from the (back) of the horizon. You see, KK is facing west and if my geography knowledge i still fresh, the sun rises from East.
Nice or not? I stopped for 2minutes to take this shot...out of 10, only one came out perfect, or almost.
At KM20, wifey got her second wind and as i always say in the last two marathons - "i see you at the finish line".
Steady!
So, from there onwards the race become pretty monotonous for me, as the muse went ahead in her quest for a good run.
Long, lonely, road...i feel asleep before this photo was taken. It was a momentarily while running - like how some of us doze off while driving. Photo taking resume so i stay awake.
The iconic building in Kota Kinabalu, the Yayasan Sabah building. If you look closely, a fisherman in a boat was catching fishes at the river mouth of Sg. Likas.
After passing the roundabout at Yayasan Sabah, the 21km runners and the 42km runners mixes up. You see the photo below with Yim on his way back the final 7km the numbers of people at 1Borneo Mall!
Stupe, Laju lagi!
And you know Tey, it is hard to separate him from his camera - and you think i am bad. :P
This is the single biggest run supporter. How many runner has fan club?
Along the way, with the sun shining onto my face, i saw Bacin. He was doing 21km..at the speed he was running, he was going for a sub 2:00 run.
Hello Bhai! KTxBai!
And you know when Jaja is right behind Bacin, they are doing a 5:00 pace..minimum!
Jaja. Mother of Pipi. Wife of Chief Kutu. Triathelete. Smoke you anything.
The least expected person that i bumped into was my college mate in RMC. Julian Chong. It as been almost 19 years since i saw him. He still looked good (well, i said it not in a Gay way ok, even if it was, it's Bromance).
I snip you off brah!
Then, i start bumping into marathoners and i know my U-turn is near. The stretch from the roundabout to UMS was super boring - lucky for some entertainment in forms of friends hi-fiving.
Running Couple Dannie and Carrie. He won't let Carrie out of his sight. Sweet. Benchmark.
Then as expected...the lady that smoke her man.
"Aiyah Stupe..hurry lah...run faster!"
Here is a tip for the lonelylonesomebored runner - make the line your best friend. A tip i picked up from Zairin.
Pretend if i step out of the line, i fall 100feet into oblivion.
Did it work? Well...not as good as visiting the locals at their fruit shop. Sadly, no coconut water.
Wee!
Abundance of Banana, but i don't need any...
So how? Say thank you to the volunteers :) A little thanks goes a long way!
Yu wanna come up to ambulance? I snip snip you?
Further down the road, i ran past a guy that suddenly shouted my name. "i recognise those tattoo on the calf, you can't run away from me!", Dr. Azman said! Well said Sir! And it was a pleasure to bump into you! Weather getting hot and it gets a bit tougher. Noticed his bottles were devoid of water and i offered mine to him. Mine was full - of ice. :D Yummy!
Finger licking good!
I left Azman with about 6km to go. Told him to keep it up and take more water whenever possible. Little things like ice on a hot day perks anyone up. As i ran towards the final 5 or 6km mark, i noticed a runner on the road. Must be cramps. Found out he is one of Choi CC's gang from LYN runner group. Must be tough to be cramped on a clear blue sky Sunday that is starting to get hot.
Medic on wheels. I bet if the medic was a woman in bikini, i also will cramp.
I offered some ice water (which he finished, GOOD!) and advised that it is best to keep moving. Cramps will get worse if you rest as the body starts to cool down. Hope he was ok!
How many noticed the family having a picnic? I waved at them and was invited...should had stopped!
2km more...but my watch says i clocked 41km already...uh-oh...over distance race...or the GPS satellite needs recalibration?
What was greatly missing from the race was distance markers. I only spotted a few. I believe many more were looking for it. But so what if the run was over distance? I came to run 42km and an extra 1km won't do any harm. :) Treat as warm down lah!
Seriously, if not because of the Peroduas, i would had think i was in California - not that i went there before, but got TV series to see mah!
The last 2km was tough. Long road and mentally you just want to get over it. But soon, the Stadium come into sight and it was never more rewarding. Looking at the watch, hey, sub 6:00!
Yay!
I crossed the line with Kam waiting and Yim asking why i left wifey behind. If only he know i kena smoke, again.
Easy day in office!
The Milo van queue wasn't long, so i decided to line up for this treat. Truth to be told, it has too much processed stuff in them - creamer, condensed milk, evaporated milk, sugar...ok. I know, i am boring.
Once a while ok or not?
Race Pros:
1. Good organisation by the organisers that also include subsidized transport to and fro Likas Stadium.
2. Electrolytes at every station and none were short of water!
3. Good traffic control with marshals on bicycle ensuring safety of runners
4. Flat route perfect for 1st timer or someone seeking PB
5. Finisher T that is of Asian size! A "S" is a "S"!!!
6. Great hospitality by the people of Sabah!
Race Cons:
1. While the first Pro is about the transportation, the organiser too should consider giving option for people like myself that did not know of the subsidized transportation. A "pay as you come" system should be considered.
2. Missing distance markers. Important for many as it will help the runner judge their distance covered and a moral booster towards the end.
Race Stats
For some of you stats-nerds/geeks, the marathon brought us from Likas Stadium towards Tanjung Aru and back (20km) and subsequently towards UMS and beyond, passing 1Borneo.
Why would anyone wants to suffer?
I tracked the run using the Garmin Forerunner 910XT (review next Monday). must say it performed as it was designed. Happy with that. The HR strap feels as it should and of no differences with the Polar WearLink i had. Best of all, it allowed me to download all sort of data that will not improve my speed of run. :)
Now, if all these translate to a faster run...
So for those of you wondering, yes, the run was over distance. Estimated was about 1km and the GPS sort of confirmed it. Between the recorded 42.94km minus (a very petty) 42.195km, that is a whole load of 745m(!!!).
If you look at my stats, i completed my 12th Marathon in 5:44:44. Technically speaking, this is my Personal Best (as my fastest ever was 5:55). If you also noticed it, i actually moved for  5:13:51, meaning there was a whole 30minutes that i spent not doing anything aka stationery! How did that happened? Oh wait...it was the photos taking. LOL.
My heart rate was at a low 135bpm average with max of 150bpm. I hardly pushed and it showed in the record. I burned only 2000-odd kcal compared to Bali's 4000-odd kcal. I worked twice as hard in Bali!
Wifey did a 5:25:44 on her chip time and if i want to make her happy, i believe she did another PB if taking a 42.195km distance as it is. She should had shaved off a good 5 minutes assuming her average pace is 7:30min/km (to cover the 745m extra). But like i said, what is another KM or two if you already ran 42km? :) Good job nevertheless to all!
Fantastic pic from Tey! Kamsia!
By the way, if some of you that ran noticed, there is a man that ran the whole 42km blowing his whistle and he was also the 5hours 30mins pacer. What this really meant is if you want to do a 5:30 marathon, you follow him. He is none other than Mohan Marathon.
I took his photo and his close up of mine resulted in...
...THIS! See, so happy we all run Marathon! More should join us!
With two marathons done in 21 days, the last league to complete the 3 marathons in 64 days would be at SCKLM. Having said that, the Lim's (as in the family) will be interviewed by Sin Chew and TV2 this weekend. We are humbled by the request for the interview!
Till then, keep moving forward (i been using this phrase often, which coincidentally, was told to me by my dearest buddy, Shazly Khan when we were heavily training for our Ironman races).

Casio Duro 200 MDV-106-1A1V

I have a few fetishes. Bags and Shoes is just two of them. Watches is another evil that is hard to resist. I had written a blog entry about it here. But sadly, the photos were missing after lifelogger was sold to another company. Lessons to be learnt not to keep too many photos online. This blog will be pretty much devoid of photos too, should Facebook and Flickr closes down.
I do not have expensive watches but most of them, if not all, are on the "affordable" range. They are bought due to their uniqueness and even sometimes, due to the simplicity of the watch face. Very rarely, or never at all, they were purchased due to the "brand" or "type". As the above link mentioned, i bought a Seiko5 (SNK809K) to commemorate Ryan's birth. The watch is still running until today, being serviced once by my trusty watch-smith. It has a NATO strap now.
Seiko5 SNK809K Automatic Watch
The watch above was bought for it's simplicity and it is often not easy to find a watch where the day and date column is the same as the watch face. Often, they are white as the manufacturer recycle some of the more common parts to make a mass produced watch.
Day and Date same color as the watch face on the Seiko5 SNK809K
This blog post is to share with you the latest purchase or a legitimate dive watch. While i do not dive, owning a watch such as this is more for fashion and for safe keeping. Casio (Japan) are known to make watches that were digital more than analogue. So when they came out with something that resemble a nice expensive dive watch, you know you got to have it.
Beauty ain't it?
The Casio Duro200 range is called as such due to the water resistant up to 200m if used for diving. With oversized 48.5mm diameter watch face and weight up to 144gram, the watch is big even on my wrist.
Maybe i should not had lose those 18kg
I purchased the Casio Duro200 model MDV-106-1A1V that comes with a stainless steel strap. It is short of a real "dive"watch as the strap does not have the additional built in length to allow it to be worn over a diving wetsuit. But even that feature is actually dictated by the more expensive watch company as part of their marketing.
The Duro200 comes with a screw-down crown, which further enhance the water resistance of the watch. It wasn't too small to be turned even with my fat fingers.
Nice brushed surface too
What i like most about this watch was how simple the watch face looked. It just exudes an evergreen style. Simple and not complicated.
Signature Marlin to tie the range back to "watersports"
The back of every Duro200 has an engraved (quite deeply) marlin. It is powered by battery that claimed to last up to 3 years under normal usage. It was also stated in the spec sheet that it has an accuracy of ±20 seconds per month, which is irrelevant unless keeping super accurate atomic timing is your priority.
Stated to be model MDV-106 on the upper left corner
The retail price for this watch is RM350, which is a bargain compared to the other popular Japanese brand diving watch which i had laid eyes on a long time. However, pricing of that particular "monster", as it is known, is a bit too expensive for an everyday wear watch.
This particular watch if taken cared off properly, will last a long time. Just remember to send it for some servicing every time it is sent in for a battery replacement. Minute oiling and dusting does wonder to a watch durability. They are meant to be passed to the next generation.
Watch out for another short and simple review in the near future of other watches in my safekeeping.

Polar RS300x and Footpod S1 Review

Since i have been actively doing sports for fitness and health reasons, basic tools such as heart rate monitor and such has been a "good to have" gadget to help monitor the training or races. The simple heart rate monitor are able to tell how much you have stressed yourself in races and could be a lifesaver or early warning device if you are not aware of your actual health condition. It takes a strong sport person to admit that they are not well. For those in denial, the fast beeping on the HRM will remind that they are not robots ;-)
I have used previously, up to 4 different type of HRM. Most costing about RM100 to RM150, bought at a bargain. The decision to finally invest in something a bit more hardy and able to measure pace and distance. I was considering either a Suunto or a Polar. Being an outdoor person, Suunto was the first choice except that it is way more expensive for a basic unit. Polar was driven by the fact that it is proven with these activities and widely used by a lot of friends. Then came the decision on which model, which the then almost top of the range RS300x came to mind. So this is a very delayed review - after using the unit from August 2010
Still with the original box. Like new.
Basically, the unit that i purchase with Wifey (yes, we bought two) comes with the Watch, the HR module and the S1 footpod to measure distance and pace.
Everything inside, including the strap that hold the HR strap and the screen protector!
We purchase the unit on August 24, 2010. It has been in service since then.
Warranty is over, but never did needed anyway
I still have the watch screen protector that can be used to cover it again. If not because the color ain't too orange-y like the first time, this watch could had passed off for new.
Scratch free
I have just recently changed the battery for the watch even though it is not due yet. It was done for Bali marathon so i will not have my watch dying on me when i need it most.
As myself and wife has the same watch, i marked mine with my nick name behind. It is like carrying the Spirit of Stupe, if you want to see it that way ;-)
The HR module that comes with it is of Polar WearLink. Basically it prevents the unit from cross talking with another unit once paired. Th HR module is detachable and the strap will be able to be washed/rinse for hygiene purpose. I always wash it after use even if the run is a short one.
To start the watch operation, just press the middle red button. It will then scan for HR module and the footpod (if you configure it to check for it). Else, if you purchase an unit without the footpod, you can also pair the RS300x up with the Polar G1 GPS unit - the very reason why i bought this in the first place - for future upgrading.
Scanning for HR module and Footpod
Starting and ending the exercise is as simple as pressing the Red and lower left button. You can retrieve all your workout on the watch or if you can separately purchase a communicating device known as the Polar flowlink to download your workout and put it online.
File with a filing cabinet. :D
Here is an example of the log tracked for my Bali Marathon
Shows the date of the workout. The bargraph is the HR record in general
The watch has an information that tracks the total number of workout, distance, calories and other good to know, but not crucial information for the number-nannies out there.
Ran a total of 721km since 24 August 2010. But that is not included those i did not use the footpod
268hours? wow!
86 exercises done since.
If you want to erase them all, you can. It is all in the watch.

But why would anyone wants to do that?
The Polar system has the function for you to utilise or to add in new exercises for your own customization. As not everyone are build the same, having something based on our own ability would be good. That way, you can chart your fitness from the beginning.
The uit comes with a blue backlight but it doesn't say on long enough to view everything if you are running. It is good to have, but pretty useless most of the time. Also, one can get confused as to get the light activated, you just need to press the upper left button ONCE and let go. Many did the mistake pressing it too long and not getting what they wanted.
Seen in semi darkness, the backlight adequately light it up.
Overall, this Polar RS300x is good to have. The watch is trouble free and it functions as it should. Providing enough of information on the run and adequate for the data-nerds in each of us. Pairing it up with a S1 footpod makes the unit superb for a day's run. Only caveat is that the battery runs out unexpectedly but they last for about 80km or so. My cheap option is to use the cheaper hypermarket alkaline battery as replacement and change before any marathon race.
Having a footpod allows tracking even when you are under canopy - the weakness of most GPS watches where the signal will be lost if you are under semi-dense jungle.
For Sale
1. There is a unit of Polar RS300X, same color, February 2010 is up for sale as well It belongs to a good friend that too, has recently upgraded to the Garmin Forerunner 910XT. Unit as good condition as mine. Asking price RM450.Priority sale.
2. I have got myself an upgrade by getting the Garmin Forerunner 910XT. Therefore, this calibrated unit (as accurate as GPS) is up for sale. Unit is as is and as seen per the above photos. One Down Two To Go : Borneo Marathon 2012

Will be on the flight to KK tomorrow afternoon and arriving at the beautiful Kinabalu by 7pm. Intention was to reach KK by 3pm so we could R&R and prepare for the race. That was the plan until AirAsia decided to delay the flight to 4.00pm. So, THANK YOU VERY MUCH AIRASIA.

And i bought the ticket at a more expensive price than what they are selling now. At least give me free food Tony Fernandez!
Then again, not as if you know what being a budget traveller is anyway. OK. ranting off.
So yes. With Bali Marathon completed in a trilogy write up here, here and here. If you have not read it, i suggest you do. Most people (especially me) said it was awesome. :P
I was fully recovered by Tuesday. No pain and no fatigue except the sleep deprivation due to coming home late after Bali marathon and subsequently back to work. I am expecting the same for Borneo.
Wish me and wifey good luck in our run on Sunday Morning! And thank you Doc Azman for picking up our race kits! :D

Inspirational Video To Change Your Life

Some say i inspired them to push for a changed living after seeing me drop from 85kg to 67kg. Many asked why i actually did it. It all started with a life-changing situation many of us encounter as working adult - work stress.
It then went to other things like how we start to lose friends because they passed away at young age.
It is then you reflect on your young family, and how much you will miss them when you are no longer there.
It is through "PURE DESIRE TO CHANGE MY LIFE" that has lead to this.
Some would say i am not living my life the way it should, but what is living a life you want when you are not able to do all the things you could just because you are now obese, sick and in denial?
The video below was made through 3 purpose in the person's life. Enjoy. It's ok to drop a tear.

Go ahead, MAKE that CHANGE!

10km Chicken Sperm Loop

I think i might be over promoting my SPERM LOOP which is a 15km in/out loop from TTDI to Bukit Damansara and back. It is the perfect training ground and provide good flat and elevation training. Today is my last run before carbo-reloading (as this is to prepare for Borneo Marathon this weekend), fresh from Bali Marathon last week. Intention today is to run enough to deplete the glycogen storage and prepare the body for proper carbo loading. Without trying to do a LSD right before a 42km, a 10km run should be sufficient - provided it is done in an intensity high enough with above average effort.
Hence, the "Chicken Sperm Loop" title of today's posting.
Meet up with Phui Tin, Lynn and Pat, together with wifey and another of Phui Tin's friend we started off from TTDI and ran towards Bukit Damansara. Experience has allowed me to estimate the 5km mark and it should lay somewhere near the roundabout at Beringin gated community.
Pace was to be decided but the intention was to make it fast. After the first 1km of warm up, i picked up my pace and raced towards KLGCC. Thinking I was fast, i realised that Lynn (she did a 4:23 in Bali) was right behind my foot! Holy-Moly!
Been some time since a training session become a pseudo-race and i picked up the pace to to match her's - or to stay ahead of her.
Needless to say, i was hyperventilating at a sub 4:00 pace and HR running at 170+bpm. I swear i saw her smiled.
I am also getting used to the Garmin Forerunner 910XT and familiarising myself with the whole GPS-watch-tracking thingy. Wait up for a review on it soon.
The run concluded in 1:03.15 at 10.61km, which was really decent considering the elevation gain of about 150m over the 10km distance. It was a superb workout.
Ran the distance and it is time to start reloading. What better way than to repair and supplement with a big cup of banana+papaya+Whey+milk+chiaseed smoothie? 350kcal/serving for the win!
How i maintained my tiptop condition. Real food.
By the way, i wrote a long post on healthy living and how discipline plays the utmost important factor. Sadly, the post went missing as i was trying to publish it this morning. Something is not right with Blogger as all my scheduled posting need to be "manually" published everyday - rendering the "auto-publishing" useless. Anyway, i believe my current lifestyle is already an example that many could use to push themselves for a healthy life. For those of you reading my blog - i thank you, for you are the reasons why i am still writing and sharing.
