SCKLM 2013 : Run For A Cause

It starts with you!
Every year, thousands pledge their support in aid of the charity partners under the umbrella of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon. These runners make up of people whose lives are surrounded by others who share the same faith as those of the charity organisations they support. The contributions that follow have been awe-inspiring.
The Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2013’s “Run for a Cause” charity programme provides a platform for you to help others who aren't as fortunate. Over the past four years, more than RM2.4 million charity funds have been raised and distributed to help areas of cancer and children with special needs. Funds raised through the Marathon have given tremendous financial encouragement to the charity partners of Standard Chartered KL Marathon.

The Standard Chartered Foundation (SCF) acts as the charitable arm of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad. SCF identifies and channel financial supports and aid to deserving community programmes in Malaysia through long term, sustainable and visible programmes for the community.
The National Autism Society Malaysia’s mission is to advocate for the rights of people with autism and in doing so, provides opportunities for children to learn and lead a productive and fulfilling life.

If you are a supporter of eco-friendly pursuits, EcoKnights is an organisation that deserves your helping hand. The association advocates national and international environmental programmes that promote sustainable development amongst industry players and communities.
A new addition to the family this year is Hospis Malaysia. Hospis’ mission is to provide possible services in psychological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients who are suffering from life-limiting illness. Hospis helps to instil awareness on the value of life and promote a better quality of life for all patients regardless of illness or stage through advocacy, education, and research.

It starts with you. Turn your running journey more meaningful and fulfilling. Pick a charity that you believe in or support our “Run for a Cause” runners who have pledged because your participation will be nothing short of a positive contribution to the people in need!
